Removal

| 1. Weaken bolts of fastening of a pulley of the water pump. | | 2. Weaken nuts of support of the generator. | | 3. Weaken a bolt of fastening of the generator and remove poliklinovy a belt. | | 4. Turn out bolts of fastening of a pulley of the water pump. Inhaling moment:
Sharnirny bolt (And) generator fastenings: 20–25 N • m
Bolt (In) generator fastenings: 15–22 N • m
Bolt of fastening of an arm of the generator: 20–28 N • m | |
Check
Check the following elements and in the presence of defects replace them.

Prevention Check correctness of an arrangement of edges of a poliklinovy belt in flutes of pulleys.
If at work poliklinovy the belt publishes extraneous noise, check a belt on lack of wear and damages, and also working surfaces of pulleys.

| 2. By the special device measure a tension of a belt of a drive of the generator. In the absence of the special device, check a belt tension, having pressed on it effort of 100 N (10 kg) in a place located on identical removal from pulleys and measure a belt deflection. Tension of a belt of a drive of the generator:
New belt: 65–75 kg
The belt which was in the use: 40 kg
Check: 35–50 kg
Tension of a belt of a drive of the generator and pump of the amplifier of a steering:
New belt: 55–70 kg
The belt which was in the use: 38–48 kg
Tension of a belt of a drive of the generator and conditioner:
New belt: 60–70 kg
The belt which was in the use: 32–40 kg
Check: 25–50 kg The belt which was in the use considered the belt which has worked on the engine more than 5 minutes. |

Tension measurement by the special device of type A

| At measurement of a tension of a poliklinovy belt, the device should not concern other elements of the engine. | |
Tension measurement by the special device of type B
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. At measurement, be convinced that turned the button of repeated installation in the arrow direction to establish an arrow of the device in an initial condition. | | 2. After removal of the device from a belt, the shooter of the device will still specify a belt tension. | |
Prevention
It is not recommended to regulate a belt tension by hand as this adjustment will not provide sufficient accuracy and the belt can slip on pulleys. Always use the special device.
Check that the tension of a belt corresponds to demanded values.
Check a belt tension after a tightening of a sharnirny bolt and a bolt of fastening of the generator.
