Dismantling

Prevention

Do not assort the Birfield type CV JOINT.
For greasing of CV JOINTS use only special greasing.
At assembly of the CV JOINT it is necessary to establish new collars.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

	1. Remove collars and pull together a protective cover from the ball CV JOINT of a power shaft.
Prevention Be careful not to damage a protective cover.
	2. A screw-driver with a flat edge remove a lock ring.
3. Remove the ball CV JOINT from a power shaft.
	4. Remove a spring lock ring, take out an internal ring, the case and balls assembled.
5. Without dismantling clear an internal ring, the case and balls.
6. Remove collars and pull together protective covers of the ball CV JOINT and the Birfield CV JOINT.
	Prevention If the protective cover is repeatedly used before cover removal for its protection, wrap up shlitsa of a power shaft a sticky tape.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check the ball CV JOINT on lack of traces of a rust, damages of an external ring, an internal ring and balls.
2. Check a condition шлицов a power shaft.
3. Check on lack of traces of a rust, water and extraneous subjects in a protective cover of the Birfield CV JOINT.
	Prevention In the Birfield CV JOINT it is possible to replace greasing only.

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Before cover installation for its protection wrap up shlitsa of a power shaft from the ball hinge a sticky tape.
2. Put greasing on a power shaft and establish a cover. Birfield CV JOINT greasing: MS511–50 Greasing of the ball CV JOINT: MS511–50
	3. For installation of a dynamic damper arrange the Birfield CV JOINT on a straight line in relation to a shaft, arrange a damper at distance 301±2 mm and fix it a clip.
	4. Put greasing on an internal ring and the case. Establish the case so that shift on a surface of a kacheniye settled down, as is shown in drawing.
Prevention Use the greasing delivered together with a repair kit.
5. Put greasing on the case and the balls located in the case.
	6. Establish the hinge, as is shown in drawing, and fix it a spring lock ring.
7. Enclose 45±5 greasing g in an external ring and establish it on a power shaft.
8. Enclose 30±10 greasing g in a protective cover and establish a cover on the hinge. Protective cover of the ball hinge Greasing total: 75±15 g Hinge: 45±3 g Protective cover: 30±10 g).
9. Fix a protective cover collars.
10. Add in the Birfield CV JOINT so much greasing, how many it was wiped during hinge check.
11. Establish covers.
12. Fix a protective cover of the Birfield CV JOINT collars.
	13. Fix covers so that the length of a power shaft corresponded to demanded values. Length of the left power shaft: With a mechanical transmission: 626,2±2 mm With an automatic transmission: 644,9±2 mm Length of the Right power shaft: With a mechanical transmission: 933,2±2 mm With an automatic transmission: 933,9±2 mm
