Dismantling

Prevention

Do not assort the Birfield type CV JOINT.
For greasing of CV JOINTS use only special greasing.
At assembly of the CV JOINT it is necessary to establish new collars.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

	1. Remove collars and pull together a protective cover from the ball CV JOINT of a power shaft.
Prevention Be careful not to damage a protective cover.
	2. Special пассатижами remove a lock ring and a hammer through a brass core bring down a support of rollers of tripoidny connection from a power shaft.
Prevention At removal of a support of rollers of tripoidny connection from a power shaft do not establish a brass core on rollers.
3. Clear a support of rollers of tripoidny connection.
4. Remove collars and pull together protective covers of the ball CV JOINT and the Birfield CV JOINT.
	Prevention If the protective cover is repeatedly used before cover removal for its protection, wrap up shlitsa of a power shaft a sticky tape.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check a condition шлицов a power shaft.

2. Check on lack of traces of a rust, water and extraneous subjects in a protective cover of the Birfield CV JOINT.

3. Check a support of rollers of tripoidny connection on lack of wear or corrosion.

4. Check deepening in the Birfield CV JOINT on lack of wear or corrosion.

5. Check a dynamic damper on absence of damages.

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Before cover installation for its protection wrap up shlitsa of a power shaft from the tripoidny hinge a sticky tape.
2. Put greasing on a power shaft and establish a cover. Birfield CV JOINT greasing: Centoplex 278M/136K TJ Greasing of the tripoidny CV JOINT: KLKTJ41–182 (MS511–50, KOREA KLUBER)
	3. For installation of a dynamic damper arrange the Birfield CV JOINT on a straight line in relation to a shaft, arrange a damper at distance 437±3 mm and fix it a clip.
4. Enclose greasing in a protective cover of the tripoidny CV JOINT and establish a cover on the hinge. Protective cover of the tripoidny hinge: Greasing total: 95±6 g Hinge: 60±3 g Protective cover: 35±3 g
5. Add in the Birfield CV JOINT so much greasing, how many it was wiped during hinge check.
6. Establish covers.
7. Fix a protective cover of the Birfield CV JOINT collars.
	8. Fix covers so that the length of a power shaft corresponded to demanded values Length of the left power shaft: With a mechanical transmission: 645,2±2 mm With an automatic transmission: 648,9±2 mm Length of the Right power shaft: With a mechanical transmission: 930,5±2 mm With an automatic transmission: 934,2±2 mm.
