2.1.4. Adjustment of a tension of a gear belt

Adjustment of a tension of a gear belt is made automatically by the tension mechanism.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Turn a steering wheel against the stop counter-clockwise.
	2. Prop up the oil pallet of the engine wooden whetstone and raise the engine a little.
	3. Remove the left support of the engine.
4. Remove a pulley of the water pump.
	5. Remove a pulley of a cranked shaft.
	6. Remove the top casing of a gear belt.
7. Check a gear belt on absence of stratifications, damages and other defects. Be convinced that carefully checked a belt on all length.
	8. Turn a cranked shaft of the engine so that the piston of the first cylinder was established in VMT in a compression step. Combine a label on a pulley of a gear belt of a cranked shaft with the index on the block of cylinders of the engine. Check that a label on a pulley of a camshaft were combined with the index on a cover of a head of cylinders.
9. Remove the bottom casing of a gear belt.
	10. Weaken bolts of 1 and 2 fastenings of the mechanism of a tension in the sequence shown in drawing, the spring of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt thus will be unclenched.
	11. Check a belt arrangement on engine pulleys.
12. Tighten bolts of 1 and 2 fastenings of the mechanism of a tension in the same order.
13. Turn clockwise a cranked shaft of the engine on one complete revolution and combine a label on a pulley of a gear belt of a cranked shaft with the index on the block of cylinders of the engine.
Prevention Do not turn a cranked shaft of the engine counter-clockwise.
14. In the same order weaken bolts of 1 and 2 fastenings of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt.
	15. Repeatedly tighten bolts of 1 and 2 fastenings of the mechanism of a tension in the same order. Inhaling moment: 20-27 N • m
	16. Repeatedly check a tension of a gear belt. By pressing the tense branch of a gear belt with effort of 49 N the gear belt should cave in to the center of a head of a bolt of fastening of the mechanism of a tension.
