Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Weaken a bolt of fastening of a pulley of the water pump.
2. Weaken a bolt of fastening of the generator.
3. Remove a pulley of the water pump and a belt.
4. Remove a pulley of a cranked shaft.
5. Remove a casing of a gear belt.
6. Move a roller of a tension of a gear belt to the water pump and temporarily fix it in this situation.
7. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a camshaft.
8. Remove a camshaft pulley.
9. Remove a gear belt.

Prevention

Note the direction of rotation of a gear belt for repeated installation it in initial situation.


10. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft. Remove a pulley of a cranked shaft and the plug.
11. Remove a roller of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check pulleys of distributive and cranked shaft, a roller of the mechanism of a tension and a single pulley on lack of non-uniform wear, cracks and damages.
2. Check ease and smoothness of rotation of a roller of the mechanism of a tension and a single pulley, and also absence of extraneous noise at rotation.

Gear belt

Prevention

Strongly do not bend a gear belt and do not change the direction of its rotation. Do not allow oil and lubricant to contact with a gear belt as it will lead to its destruction.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check a gear belt on absence of damages, wear, stratification, cracks on teeths and in the basis of teeths, and also on defects at end faces and a reverse side of a belt.
2. In the presence of the following defects, replace a gear belt.

1. Rigid return surface of a gear belt. The surface has a glossy appearance
Rigidity of a surface such is that a nail does not leave traces on a belt
2. Cracks on a return surface of a gear belt
3. Cracks or stratification of a gear belt
4. Strongly worn-out teeths
The tooth party is worn-out, fibers, a cord and the rubber basis become thus visible
5. Teeths (the last stage) are strongly worn-out
The tooth party is worn-out, attritions become thus visible and the thickness of tooth is reduced
6. Cracks in the basis of teeths
7. Lack of tooth
8. Strong wear of one party of a belt  
9. Cracks on lateral face of a gear belt  

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish the plug, and a pulley of a cranked shaft as is shown in drawing. Pay attention to the direction of their installation

Inhaling moment: 140–150 N • m

2. Establish a pulley of a camshaft and fix a bolt, having tightened it the demanded moment.

Inhaling moment: 80–100 N • m
3. Establish directing roller and fix a bolt, having tightened it the demanded moment.

Inhaling moment: 43–55 N • m
4. Combine adjusting labels on pulleys of distributive and cranked shaft with indexes, thus the piston of the first cylinder should be established in VMT in a compression step.
5. At installation of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt first of all establish the tension mechanism, a spring and the rasporny plug. Temporarily tighten bolts. Then, temporarily compress the tension mechanism, having inserted a bolt into the extended opening. Establish the back end of a flat spring opposite to a forward cover, as is shown in drawing.
6. Fix the mechanism of the tension which has been taken away to the water pump.
7. Establish a gear belt on a pulley of a cranked shaft.
8. Establish a gear belt on a camshaft pulley, be thus convinced that its sagging is excluded from a tension.
9. Weaken bolts of 1 and 2 fastenings of the mechanism of a tension in the sequence shown in drawing, the spring of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt thus will be unclenched.
10. Tighten bolts of 1 and 2 fastenings of the mechanism of a tension in the same order.
11. Turn clockwise a cranked shaft of the engine on two complete revolutions and combine a label on a pulley of a gear belt of a cranked shaft with the index on the block of cylinders of the engine. Check that the label on a pulley of a camshaft was combined with the index on a cover of a head of cylinders.

Prevention

Do not turn a cranked shaft of the engine counter-clockwise.


12. In the same order weaken bolts of 1 and 2 fastenings of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt.
13. Tighten bolts of 1 and 2 fastenings of the mechanism of a tension in the same order.

Inhaling moment: 20–27 N • m

14. Repeatedly check a tension of a gear belt. By pressing the tense branch of a gear belt effort of 49 N the gear belt should cave in to the center of a head of a bolt of fastening of the mechanism of a tension.
15. Establish casings of a gear belt.

Inhaling moment: 8–10 N • m
16. Establish a pulley of a cranked shaft.

Inhaling moment: 140–150 N • m

17. Establish poliklinovy a belt of a drive of the fan and adjust its tension.
18. Establish a pulley of the water pump.
19. Establish poliklinovy a belt and adjust its tension.
